Breakfast in the Boardroom: Product Edition

September 23 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Creating competitive and innovative products in 2025 is increasingly challenging. Shrinking budgets, geopolitical instability, and tighter regulations are placing greater pressure on financial services businesses, particularly within the UK and European markets.

In this environment, how can you ensure your products are built to withstand regulatory changes, geopolitical shifts, and evolving Gen Z expectations while maintaining profitability and operational resilience?

Our Product Breakfast in the Boardroom brings together product leaders and experts for curated roundtable discussions over breakfast – a platform to exchange ideas, build meaningful connections, and explore practical solutions.

Widening your reach across borders

  • How do you ensure that your product aligns with your firm’s cross-border growth and expansion strategy?
  • What are the biggest geopolitical risks impacting your product development decisions today? How has US policy influenced your product pipeline and compliance approach in the UK or EMEA?
  • How do you navigate diverging regulatory frameworks (UK and EMEA)? How do you ensure you have made this a consideration in your timelines?

Surpassing Gen Z Expectations

  • How do you develop financial products that evolve with Gen Z’s attitudes towards digital banking and embedded finance?
  • How do Gen Z expectations differ across markets with varying regulatory and cultural contexts?
  • How are you reaching unbanked and underbanked populations in emerging markets? What design, data and onboarding considerations ensure your products remain inclusive and accessible?
  • How is Gen Z shaping your approach to sustainability-linked products and ESG-driven offerings?

Competing for first place

  • What emerging technologies (AI-driven personalisation, blockchain applications, real-time payments infrastructure, quantum computing readiness) are shaping your roadmap for the next 12-24 months?
  • How are banks and fintechs evolving their product portfolios to survive in an increasingly crowded and fragmented ecosystem? Where is the strategic focus today (payments, lending, wealth or embedded finance)?
  • How do you create your product’s unique value proposition in a saturated market? How do you communicate and operationalise that USP internally and externally?
  • How are you building a scalable and compliant product roadmap while navigating stricter financial regulations (e.g. FCA Consumer Duty, MiCA)? What operating model adjustments have been critical?

Join us to engage and collaborate with product experts on creating and developing a financial product in an increasingly difficult business environment.

Have you set up your Member account yet? If not, click here to do so.

Still not receiving your auto-login link?

Please click the button below which relates to the issue you’re having.

I didn't receive an e-mail

Tip: Check your spam

Sometimes our e-mails end up in spam. Make sure to check your spam folder for e-mails from The Payments Association

Tip: Check “other” tabs

Most modern e-mail clients now separate e-mails into different tabs. For example, Outlook has an “Other” tab, and Gmail has tabs for different types of e-mails, such as promotional.

Tip: Click the link within 60 minutes

For security reasons the link will expire after 60 minutes. Try submitting the login form again and wait a few seconds for the e-mail to arrive.

Tip: Only click once

The link will only work one time – once it’s been clicked, the link won’t log you in again. Instead, you’ll need to go back to the login screen and generate a new link.

Tip: Delete old login e-mails

Make sure you’re clicking the link on the most recent e-mail that’s been sent to you. We recommend deleting the e-mail once you’ve clicked the link.

Tip: Check your security policies

Some security systems will automatically click on links in e-mails to check for phishing, malware, viruses and other malicious threats. If these have been clicked, it won’t work when you try to click on the link.

Need to change your e-mail address?

For security reasons, e-mail address changes can only be complete by your Member Engagement Manager. Please contact the team directly for further help.
