Project Rome encourages all Payments Association members to respond to the Payment Systems Regulator’s discussion paper on data in the payments industry. The PSR are keen to understand how the industry would like the PSR to ensure new uses of data work well for the people and businesses that use payment systems. The PSR is particularly keen to understand the barriers that potential providers of new services may have in terms limited access to data about transactions across a whole payment system (‘global’ datasets), including those that may help develop new ways to fight fraud and other financial crimes within the system. The deadline for evidence is 5 pm on 3 September 2018.
