Project Regulator penned a briefing piece that articulated the implications and impact of the upcoming changes pertaining to real time gross settlement (RTGS). The piece, penned by Project Regulator lead Alison Donnelly, identified that the adoption of a direct delivery model for the UK’s RTGS payment system matches the approach taken by many jurisdictions and praised the Bank of England for broadening access to non-bank PSPs.
In 2018, Project Regulator will be focusing on facilitating the commentary of all payments players into NPA, voicing the importance of passporting and its potential loss on our industry, and improving understand of banking terminology for those outside the industry
