The flagship store of luxury pharmacy John Bell & Croyden is transforming shopper experiences with the installation of new checkout & inventory management technology from Trust Retail, part of the Trust Payments Group.

Trust Payments and Trust Retail are specialists in helping retailers grow and scale by providing unified on-demand payments and commerce services, known as Converged Commerce™.

As part of last week’s go-live, John Bell & Croyden – which turned 225 years old this year and held a Royal Warrant, serving as the official pharmacy of the late Queen Elizabeth II – has replaced its legacy store technology with new tools from Trust Retail that will help store staff make the checkout process feel just as superior as their in-store shopping experience.

The 50-54 Wigmore Street luxury store has been equipped with 7 full ePOS tills – new technology from Trust Payments that not only records sales transactions and processes payments, integrates with the Trust Payments acquiring solution, and seamlessly manages inventory and customer data. Staff have been trained in how to create and manage till button grids or switch to quick-sell screens as part of the new technology.

The tills are backed by Trust Retail’s strong cloud platform which is paramount to safely store and synchronise data from the ePOS and offers users full user management, the ability to import the pharmacy’s full product catalogue and manage that inventory, employee shift and cash management. It also features a fully self-managed retail promotional suite, that will allow John Bell &Croyden to provide better offers to customers and drive sales.

Additionally, John Bell & Croyden will also benefit from a contemporary integrated card payments solution and use Trust Payments for its acquiring needs moving forward.

This new implementation follows the acquisition of John Bell & Croyden by Bestway Healthcare in August 2023. Trust Retail and Bestway Healthcare have worked together on checkout technology for several years and was well well-placed to ensure a seamless migration from legacy systems to more trusted retail technology that is consistent with current shopper experience at Well Pharmacy pharmacies.

“It’s fantastic to see a luxury brand with a history as distinct as John Bell & Croyden adopt new retail technology that will give its esteemed shoppers the most seamless checkout experience possible. Our new ePOS terminals that have been installed will really help ensure that every store visitor gets the best experience possible from entering the store right until they pay for their pharmaceuticals and products at the end of their visit.”

“I’m thrilled that we have introduced these new tools to John Bell & Croyden. The technology that Trust Payments and Trust Retail have implemented is key to helping John Bell & Croyden serve up a joined-up shopping experience across all channels and gives us accurate stock visibility to drive availability through daily replenishment cycles. We’re speeding up the checkout process, engaging customers with a memorable shopping experience that would not delay time-sensitive patients and ultimately building brand loyalty for future needs.”

Tip: Check your spam

Sometimes our e-mails end up in spam. Make sure to check your spam folder for e-mails from The Payments Association

Tip: Check “other” tabs

Most modern e-mail clients now separate e-mails into different tabs. For example, Outlook has an “Other” tab, and Gmail has tabs for different types of e-mails, such as promotional.

Tip: Click the link within 60 minutes

For security reasons the link will expire after 60 minutes. Try submitting the login form again and wait a few seconds for the e-mail to arrive.

The link will only work one time – once it’s been clicked, the link won’t log you in again. Instead, you’ll need to go back to the login screen and generate a new link.
