Switzerland proposes new sustainability reporting law

The Swiss government has released its proposed Federal Act on Sustainable Corporate Governance, which sets out updated sustainability-related reporting and due diligence obligations for large companies.

ESG Today reported that the proposed law would broadly align obligations for Swiss companies with those of European counterparts under the EU’s recently updated Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), particularly in terms of the size of companies covered by the regulations.
