
Alison McDowell is a Co-Founder and Director at Beruku Advisory, providing end-to-end strategic advice on digital trust, identity and personal data. She focuses on digital identity and personal attribute sharing in financial services, including money laundering regulations, CBDC, and changes to the employment landscape. Most recently, Alison has been advising the U.K. government, leading engagement with the financial services industry and working with HM Treasury, JMLSG, regulators and industry to enable the use of digital identity in a broad range of financial transactions.
Before working with Beruku, Alison spent over 20 years in financial services, in consulting and senior commercial leadership roles in both banking and insurance. She has worked with firms around the globe, from impact investors and FinTechs in Southeast Asia and Africa to some of the largest global banks in the US and Europe, leading transformation, leadership development and regulatory programmes.
