Members of the Project Rome team met with the All Party Parliamentary Group on Fair Business Banking. John Davies, Chairman at Kompli Global, discussed the Payments Association’s Project Rome and its activities and to raise awareness of the importance of derisking to the payments and PayTech industry. Project Rome will be developing policy positions that engage with regulatory and oversight bodies on the exclusion issues posed by derisking, and to support Bank of England’s investment in new technology to enable non-banks to gain access to settlement accounts.
