Project Rome has published a thought leadership piece on the transposition of regulation 104 and regulation 105 from PSD2 and their impact on banking access. The article, penned by Andrea Dunlop, highlights how the new regulations improve direct access to bank accounts and indirect access to designated payment systems. The article also highlights the challenges faced by payment service providers in gaining access to banking services and the termination of services from UK banks due to an increased level of de-risking in recent years.
