Locke Lord comments on European Council’s Response to 4th AMLD Amendments

London’s Robert Courtneidge, the Firm’s Global Head of Cards & Payments, was quoted in a Payments Compliance article commenting on the European Council’s proposed tweaks to the 4th Anti-Money Laundering Directive. Originally, member states were able to let regulated businesses bypass customer due diligence measures for certain prepaid or e-money instruments up to €250 a month. In July, the European Commission proposed the figure should be lowered by €100, which the European Council has approved. Read more here.
