After spending the past six months as a business consultant for the bank, Mike now steps into a permanent leadership role, bringing with him over 20 years of experience in finance and payments. He has a proven track record in driving strategic initiatives and leading senior teams across international organisations.
In his new role, Mike will focus on accelerating the growth of LHV Bank’s banking services business across the UK and Europe. His priorities include enhancing product offerings and strengthening client and partner relationships.
“I’m excited to join LHV Bank at such a pivotal moment for the banking and payments industry,” Mike said. “The vision and talent within the team have truly impressed me, and I’m eager to build on the remarkable success already achieved.”
Before joining LHV Bank, Mike led the global retail and marketplace vertical at Worldline and served as general manager for Ingenico in the EMEA region. His extensive background also includes managing global partnerships and alliances and optimising relationships with major acquiring banks, card schemes, and alternative payment providers.
Erki Kilu, CEO of LHV Bank, expressed confidence in Mike’s appointment: “Mike is a charismatic leader with deep industry expertise. He already has a strong understanding of our strategic goals, and we’re excited for him to lead us into the next phase of growth.”

The Banking Services division, in particular, has seen record payment volumes, processing 47.7 million payments by the end of 2023.
