Delivering the UK’s Financial Inclusion Strategy

March 10 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

HM Treasury’s National Financial Inclusion Strategy has recently been published. It includes a vision for improving access to savings, credit, and insurance, all with the aim of building greater financial security and resilience across the population; something TPA Inclusion Working Group have been calling for. But setting the Strategy is just the first step. The critical question now is: how do we deliver it?

This forward-looking webinar will explore:

  • The key payments innovations that could drive progress and help deliver the outcomes of the NFIS – from cards and account-to-account (A2A) payments to new digital tools and savings mechanisms.
  • The role of regulation, policy, and industry, in achieving practical outcomes and measurable change.
  • What kind of environment (policy, technology, and industry collaboration) is needed to scale solutions effectively?
  • A critical discussion of whether the government’s strategy sets the right parameters for real impact: is it ambitious enough, does it set a strong foundation to build from?
