Breakfast in the Boardroom… with marketing professionals

May 30 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

‘Taking a seat at the table’ is a common topic in marketing teams, often accompanied by justification of budget or resource requirements. This ‘Breakfast in the Boardroom’ event will help change the conversation to take the lead in demonstrating the commercial value that marketing brings as a strategic partner.

We’ll tackle the shared challenges found by marketing teams in the payments industry. Data is an important tool but not every element of marketing can be measured in lead conversions. Long sales cycles blur the lines between marketing lead and final sale, making ROI difficult to track. Heavy regulation can stifle creativity with compliance. Funding is at an all-time low, and marketing is often the first budget to go.

Join us for a morning of networking and structured collaborative discussion with marketing peers, discussing shared challenges, experiences and opportunities. We’ll explore:

Internal challenges

  • How do you drive the view of marketing as a core part of commercial strategy, and take a leadership role at the boardroom table
  • How do you better foster collaboration between departments (sales and product) for better alignment and impact
  • How does marketing demonstrate the impact it has on the business from a commercial perspective and show value in both measurable and non-measurable ROI
  • How do you go about increasing or sustaining current marketing budget as opposed to seeing it cut
  • And if budgets are cut – how do you do more with less?

External challenges

  • How do you balance creativity with compliance in a heavily regulated industry?
  • Gen AI – which elements will be short term trends and which are worth investing in? How will Gen AI change marketing teams? What do we need to be careful of?
  • Content marketing, social media and branding – what is working right now and what is not having an impact?

You have the opportunity to shape the conversation to what would be most valuable to you. We invite you to submit up to three questions in advance, to be covered by our table moderators on the day. Please submit your questions to kate.mckenzie@thepaymentsassociation.org.

Still not receiving your auto-login link?

I didn't receive an e-mail

Tip: Check your spam

Sometimes our e-mails end up in spam. Make sure to check your spam folder for e-mails from The Payments Association

Tip: Check “other” tabs

Most modern e-mail clients now separate e-mails into different tabs. For example, Outlook has an “Other” tab, and Gmail has tabs for different types of e-mails, such as promotional.

Tip: Click the link within 60 minutes

For security reasons the link will expire after 60 minutes. Try submitting the login form again and wait a few seconds for the e-mail to arrive.

Tip: Only click once

The link will only work one time – once it’s been clicked, the link won’t log you in again. Instead, you’ll need to go back to the login screen and generate a new link.

Tip: Delete old login e-mails

Make sure you’re clicking the link on the most recent e-mail that’s been sent to you. We recommend deleting the e-mail once you’ve clicked the link.

Tip: Check your security policies

Some security systems will automatically click on links in e-mails to check for phishing, malware, viruses and other malicious threats. If these have been clicked, it won’t work when you try to click on the link.

Need to change your e-mail address?

For security reasons, e-mail address changes can only be complete by your Member Engagement Manager. Please contact the team directly for further help.
