Money Carer

Money Carer was founded in 2009 and is the leading provider of money management services for vulnerable people from all walks of life across the UK.

In addition to providing services to its own clients, Money Carer has developed its proprietary platform, Monika, which integrates banking, bulk payments and card services with a comprehensive case and communication management system incorporating a secure online portal and smartphone app.

As a standalone service, Monika is used by over 300 law firms, local authorities and care providers to help them better manage their own vulnerable client base and to communicate with their customers ‘circle of care’ more effectively.

Money Carer was responsible for the concept and subsequent launch of the UK’s first dedicated payment card for vulnerable people and their carers in 2011 and the organisation was selected to represent Best Practice in the Finance Category of the 2018 Parliamentary Review. In 2025, the organisation will launch a range of biometric fingerprint activated smart cards and a bespoke wearable payment solution aimed at promoting greater autonomy for people with learning or physical disabilities and individuals with memory or fluctuating capacity challenges.

Money Carer won the Financial Inclusion Award at the 2025 Card and Payments Awards.
