Cardaq’s co-CEO Noyan Nihat has been elected deputy chair of The Payments Association Advisory Board, reinforcing leadership and collaboration across payments.
Cardaq has announced that its Co-CEO, Noyan Nihat, has been elected as deputy chair of The Payments Association’s Advisory Board, marking a significant milestone both for Noyan personally and for the company.
The Payments Association plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the payments industry, representing a broad range of organisations across the payments value chain. The Association is led by its senior leadership team and guided by its Advisory Board, which provides strategic direction, industry insight, and expert steering.
The Advisory Board is composed of senior-level individuals from leading payments companies, each selected for their proven ability to lead, influence, and drive meaningful change across the payments ecosystem. Board members share a common goal: to support the development of a profitable, sustainable, and innovative payments industry.
Advisory Board members are nominated and elected by The Payments Association’s membership and serve a three-year term. Their role includes attending Advisory Board meetings throughout the year, contributing to the organisation’s strategic priorities, and providing input into regulatory papers, press releases, and industry case studies. Members also collaborate on agreed projects, mentor initiatives, and working groups within The Payments Association, and offer guidance and support to fellow members.
As deputy chair, Noyan Nihat will play an enhanced leadership role, helping to shape discussions at the board level and supporting the chair, Nick Kerigan, in driving the Advisory Board’s agenda. His appointment reflects both his industry expertise and his commitment to advancing collaboration, innovation, and best practices across payments.
Noyan: “I am thrilled and honoured to be elected as deputy chair, alongside Mitch Trehan, in supporting Nick Kerigan as our chair. We have a super-talented Advisory Board with many exciting new members, and we are looking forward to continuing the important work that the PA strives to accomplish for our industry.”
Noyan’s election as deputy chair further strengthens Cardaq’s presence within the payments community and underlines the company’s commitment to playing an active role in shaping the future of the payments landscape.
