European fintech myPOS has officially acquired UTP Group Ltd, a UK-based provider of payment solutions. This move marks a significant step forward in myPOS’s mission to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with smarter, more accessible payment technologies across the UK and Europe.

Backed by global private equity firm Advent, myPOS has been delivering real-time, scalable payment solutions to over 250,000 businesses. By welcoming UTP into the myPOS family, the company gains a strong UK-based sales force and an established network of 52,000+ clients. This way, more local businesses will have access to myPOS’s powerful tools and support.

“This acquisition is not just about market expansion – it’s about empowering UK SMEs with better payment solutions, stronger support and more growth opportunities. By combining forces with UTP, myPOS will deliver superior solutions faster, enabling businesses to grow and scale without high upfront costs. We are excited to empower local merchants and lay the foundation for long-term success in this key market”, commented Mario Shiliashki, myPOS CEO.

Founded in 2013 and based in Reading, UTP offers a full range of services – from card machines and Tap-to-Pay to ecommerce tools and funding options. Their clients can expect business as usual, with access to even more features as myPOS integrates its platform.

“Joining forces with myPOS is a great opportunity for UTP. Our team will have the chance to work with a leading fintech platform that’s well-positioned for future growth, backed by a growing European presence and a diverse suite of products. I am confident this partnership opens new opportunities to our robust sales team and our merchants, and I look forward to building on this momentum”, added Michael Ault, UTP CEO.

This latest acquisition follows myPOS’s purchase of French-based Toporder and is part of its wider strategy to expand across Europe. In 2024 alone, the company saw a 42% increase in its customer base and grew turnover by 29%, reaching nearly €14 billion.

With instant access to funds, no monthly fees, and a user-friendly mobile app, myPOS makes it easier for SMEs to get paid, manage their business, and grow.

Tip: Check “other” tabs

Most modern e-mail clients now separate e-mails into different tabs. For example, Outlook has an “Other” tab, and Gmail has tabs for different types of e-mails, such as promotional.

Tip: Click the link within 60 minutes

For security reasons the link will expire after 60 minutes. Try submitting the login form again and wait a few seconds for the e-mail to arrive.

Make sure you’re clicking the link on the most recent e-mail that’s been sent to you. We recommend deleting the e-mail once you’ve clicked the link.

Some security systems will automatically click on links in e-mails to check for phishing, malware, viruses and other malicious threats. If these have been clicked, it won’t work when you try to click on the link.
