Industry veteran Matt Komorowski joined fintech company myPOS, which shows no signs of slowing down after its recent acquisition by Advent International in February. Matt brings over а decade of expertise and will oversee the company’s revenue growth and sales strategy, with a clear focus on positioning myPOS as a leading payments provider across Europe.
With 12 years of experience in the payments sector, Matt has built a distinguished career at leading companies such as PayPal, Groupon, and the Boston Consulting Group. His decade-long tenure at PayPal, where he most recently served as Senior Director of Partnerships for International Markets, saw him spearheading strategic coalitions across Central and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Benelux, and later expanding his expertise to the Asia-Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. In his most recent role as Chief Revenue Officer at Volt.io, he led the adoption of the company’s open banking products across various business verticals and international markets.
Commenting on the new appointment, Mario Shiliashki, CEO of myPOS, said: “At this key time for our business, we are delighted to welcome Matt on board. I have no doubt that his leadership style and expertise will help myPOS accelerate revenue streams, develop a world-class sales team and push us to become the leader in the SME payments segment.”
Matt Komorowski added: “I am thrilled to join myPOS and bring my experience to continue growing what is already an outstanding and successful payments pioneer. The ability to work alongside such a talented team and empower merchants across Europe has made this an easy decision. myPOS has developed a one-of-a-kind business platform and I am confident that together we can support small businesses as their growth partner.”
Earlier this year, myPOS also announced the appointment of Mario Shiliashki and Abdenour Bezzouh as the new chief executive officer and chief technology officer, respectively. Both bring a global view on payments, having worked across continents.
Matt’s appointment aligns with myPOS’ ambitious plans to expand its current client base of over 200,000 merchants. To learn more about the company and explore partnership opportunities, visit mypos.com.
