French bank Crédit Agricole’s is extending its HCE (Host Card Emulation) based mobile payment service to Visa holders. Only available to Mastercard card holders so far, the bank MaCarte application and Paylib, the French interbank payment brand, will now allow Visa card holders to use their smartphones to pay instore.
Crédit Agricole is the first bank in France to offer a mobile payment service based on HCE and covering both Visa and Mastercard cards.
