This year, Bacs, the company that operates the UK’s Current Account Switch Service, has published a series of research papers that look at consumer engagement in the current account market, in partnership with University of Bristol. The first and second papers in the series of reports were released earlier this year and focussed on providing an insight into the impact that trust and loyalty has on the propensity to switch. The third research paper, which is now available, focuses on how the Current Account Switch Service can help enable the creation of a better functioning market, by reducing the perceived barriers to switching current accounts.
