Champneys selects Planet to deliver luxury payments for guests across its UK locations

Planet, a global integrated payments leader, has today announced it’s been selected by Champneys to provide a fully integrated suite of Hospitality payments services on a single all-in-one platform across its UK luxury hotels, health spas and resorts.

This puts guests in complete control of their payments, giving them the confidence to spend freely, however and wherever they want to pay. Guests enjoy convenience and security with unified payments across the reception, spa and wellness suite, bar and restaurant. They will experience a wide choice of faster and safer payment methods, including high value contactless and digital wallets.

International visitors can also pay in their own currency, helping Champneys to welcome their guests back as they start to return to the UK.

Staff can process payments anywhere across the resort and make safer touch-free transactions, further enhancing the luxury experience for guests, using the very latest state-of-the-art android mobile payments technology.

Staff members can securely store guest card data for any additional charges made during their stay without asking for payment details again, thanks to Planet’s tokenisation services. This makes the experience easier for guests who can pay for treatments and services anywhere across the spa resorts and hotels, and safer as it reduces interaction with staff.

Champneys will generate additional opportunities to wow guests and drive more revenue through enhanced loyalty programmes. This is because their CRM system will be enhanced with rich payments data, insight and tokenisation.

The payments service uses Planet’s gateway technology, which is fully integrated with Resort Suite’s Property Management Systems (PMS) and Point of Sale (POS) system.

Tip: Check “other” tabs

Most modern e-mail clients now separate e-mails into different tabs. For example, Outlook has an “Other” tab, and Gmail has tabs for different types of e-mails, such as promotional.

Tip: Click the link within 60 minutes

For security reasons the link will expire after 60 minutes. Try submitting the login form again and wait a few seconds for the e-mail to arrive.

Tip: Only click once

The link will only work one time – once it’s been clicked, the link won’t log you in again. Instead, you’ll need to go back to the login screen and generate a new link.

Tip: Delete old login e-mails

Make sure you’re clicking the link on the most recent e-mail that’s been sent to you. We recommend deleting the e-mail once you’ve clicked the link.

Tip: Check your security policies

Some security systems will automatically click on links in e-mails to check for phishing, malware, viruses and other malicious threats. If these have been clicked, it won’t work when you try to click on the link.
