Andaria has secured Visa Principal Membership, enabling direct issuing, faster innovation, and multi-scheme flexibility across its growing embedded finance ecosystem.
Choice is not a luxury in financial technology; it is a competitive edge. When businesses can select the right payment network, rails, and tools for a specific customer problem, the result is not just instant flows; it is better products.
Andaria is now introducing a new offering to its range: Principal Membership with Visa. This milestone places Andaria among the EMIs globally which hold direct membership with Visa, Mastercard, and Discover, a level of scheme access that dramatically expands the capabilities we can deliver to our partners.
Scalability, flexibility, and innovation
Becoming a Principal Member is far more than a status upgrade. It means direct access to Visa’s global infrastructure, compliance frameworks, and technology stack, from card tokenisation to digital enablement.
It also means that we can now issue Visa-branded cards and solutions directly, accelerating go-to-market times and giving our partners the power to design truly tailored payment experiences for their customers.
Reflecting on this milestone, Kevin McAdam, CEO of Andaria Financial Services UK, explains how this strengthens our core proposition: “Visa principal membership gives our clients more than another payment option; it gives them capabilities. It lets us build tokenisation, developer-friendly flows, and cross-border functionality into our embedded finance stack and do so with the compliance and operational control our partners require.”
By combining Visa’s global reach with our existing scheme partnerships, Andaria is creating an ecosystem where clients can choose the network, features, and integrations that best serve their business model without compromise.
Trust: The invisible currency of embedded finance
In embedded finance, trust is earned through regulation, governance, and reputation.
Principal Membership with Visa means that Andaria meets the rigorous operational, compliance, and security standards expected of one of the world’s most respected payment schemes.
It also signals to customers and partners that Andaria operates at a level of resilience, transparency, and control necessary for regulated financial infrastructure, giving them confidence that their funds and data are in safe hands.
A shared vision for innovation
Visa’s collaboration with Andaria represents a shared ambition: enabling businesses of all sizes to embed secure, innovative payment solutions at scale.
“We welcome Andaria as a Visa Principal Member. We are looking forward to working together to help them accelerate secure, innovative payment solutions across Europe, empowering businesses to embed payments at scale,” says Claire Dopson, head of new business development, UK & Ireland, Visa.
Through this membership, Andaria gains access to Visa’s value-added services, APIs, and developer ecosystem, all of which will strengthen our work in embedded finance, corporate payments, and card issuing.
The future is multi-scheme
With Visa, Mastercard, and Discover now integrated into our ecosystem, Andaria is one of the few EMIs globally capable of offering true multi-scheme access, ensuring that every partner, platform and enterprise can leverage the network that best fits their needs.
