SUMMARY:ESG Knowledge Share Sessions - Key Carbon Accounting Insights from Crif
DESCRIPTION:The ESG Working Group is hosting the first of our Knowledge-Share Sessions. These sessions provide a platform for organisations or individuals who can share key insights and information on a topic of particular interest to the Working Group.   \nThis first session on carbon accounting is brought to you by Crif\, a data-driven company operating at a global level and specialising in ESG strategies\, analytics\, outsourcing and processing services\, as well as advanced digital solutions for business development and open banking. Crif are experts at carbon calculation for their clients\, working with their impressive ‘data lakes’.   \nThis session is particularly relevant to the ESG Working Group who have been busy working on their Carbon Framework Initiative. The Working Group recognises the importance of the payments industry being able to accurately measure carbon emissions if they ever intend to reduce them.   \nCrif are pleased to share their expertise on how they tackle carbon accounting\, where they source their data and how they use it. This Knowledge-Share Session will interest any members who want to advance their carbon accounting understanding and implement more effective ESG strategies in their organisations.  \nThroughout the session\, Crif will share:  \n\nThe basics of GHG emissions\, including the different scopes\, main drivers and current regulations.  \nHow carbon emissions should be measured and their approach to GHG accounting.  \nCrif’s own ESG Framework and how they use this to measure GHG emissions.  \nHow Crif can surface ESG data on all companies small and large in the UK and Europe.  \n\nAgenda  \n\n2:00pm – General introduction to GHG emissions\n2:10pm – Crif’s ESG framework and their approach to GHG accounting\n2:25pm – Crif’s data lakes and how they use them\n2:35pm – Q&A\n2:45pm – Finish\n\n  \nThis discussion will be in the form of an information exchange and will follow Chatham House Rules.

SUMMARY:The Payments Manifesto Plenary Session
DESCRIPTION:All members of TPA are invited to join our “Manifesto updates” session to have your say on what should be in the updated Payments Manifesto. We are in a better position as an Association than ever before to have our voice heard by government and policy makers\, and we are more than ready to bring your voice forward and ensure payments will fit into the government’s agenda\, whoever wins. \nAnother busy party conference season is about to start\, ahead of the next general elections\, and we need your help and support to ensure you take part in this all-members work to shape our policy agenda.  \nThe “Manifesto updates” session will take place on June 20th from 11.00 to 12.30 BST\, online. \nOur 7 working groups have been preparing a draft\, updating last year’s version\, but we want to give everyone the opportunity to intervene and make their voice heard. Following the plenary session\, a dedicated group of experts from the Advisory Board and the policy team will assemble all views and produce a final draft\, to be signed off by out Director General Tony Craddock later in summer and ready to be delivered at both Labour and Conservative Party conferences in September. \n All members are welcome to join the session. For any logistics problem please do reach out to malik.smith@thepaymentsassociation.org
