SUMMARY:Breakfast in the Boardroom... with marketing professionals
DESCRIPTION:‘Taking a seat at the table’ is a common topic in marketing teams\, often accompanied by justification of budget or resource requirements. This ‘Breakfast in the Boardroom’ event will help change the conversation to take the lead in demonstrating the commercial value that marketing brings as a strategic partner. \nWe’ll tackle the shared challenges found by marketing teams in the payments industry. Data is an important tool but not every element of marketing can be measured in lead conversions. Long sales cycles blur the lines between marketing lead and final sale\, making ROI difficult to track. Heavy regulation can stifle creativity with compliance. Funding is at an all-time low\, and marketing is often the first budget to go. \nJoin us for a morning of networking and structured collaborative discussion with marketing peers\, discussing shared challenges\, experiences and opportunities. We’ll explore: \nInternal challenges \n\nHow do you drive the view of marketing as a core part of commercial strategy\, and take a leadership role at the boardroom table\nHow do you better foster collaboration between departments (sales and product) for better alignment and impact\nHow does marketing demonstrate the impact it has on the business from a commercial perspective and show value in both measurable and non-measurable ROI\nHow do you go about increasing or sustaining current marketing budget as opposed to seeing it cut\nAnd if budgets are cut – how do you do more with less?\n\nExternal challenges \n\nHow do you balance creativity with compliance in a heavily regulated industry?\nGen AI – which elements will be short term trends and which are worth investing in? How will Gen AI change marketing teams? What do we need to be careful of?\nContent marketing\, social media and branding – what is working right now and what is not having an impact?\n\nYou have the opportunity to shape the conversation to what would be most valuable to you. We invite you to submit up to three questions in advance\, to be covered by our table moderators on the day. Please submit your questions to kate.mckenzie@thepaymentsassociation.org. \n  \nAgenda:   \n08.15am Breakfast & registration \n08.45am Introduction by facilitators \n09.00am Roundtables \n10.00am End of event \n  \nVenue:   \nDe Vere Grand Connaught Rooms   \n61-65 Great Queen Street   \nLondon   \nWC2B 5DA  \n  \nSpeakers: \n  \n \n  \nDelegates:  \nKindly note that the event is bespoke to senior marketing professionals\, who specialise in payments and are members of The Payments Association.  Each member company is entitled to one ticket to this event\, and all registrations are subject to final approval. \n  \nOther:  \nChatham House Rules will apply and no reporters are allowed.   \n
