Protean Risk

Protean Risk is a Lloyd’s of London insurance broker with a unique focus on Fintech and Payments Services. We are innovators in this area and created the first and only insurance product, known as PSD Bond, specifically designed to provide an alternative method of safeguarding client funds. PSD Bond was borne out of a two-year intensive development project involving technical input from leading legal and regulatory law firms.

Clients also have access to the latest insurance products which are tailored to firms operating in the fintech and payment services sector, including Professional Indemnity, Crime, and Cyber insurance. Protean were also the first broker to launch a professional indemnity insurance product for Account Information (AISP) and Payment Initiation Service Provider (PISP) to meet the requirements of PSD2.
